Storytime is a relaxed and friendly storytelling session for children aged 3yrs and up. In 2019 we celebrated our tenth year!

Sessions are drop in and entry is by donation.

Due to the closure of all public venues for the time being, Storytime is online every Saturday until further notice.

​

Online sessions are on Zoom and happen in

two parts every Saturday:

​

12noon: 40mins craft session

1pm: 40mins Storytelling session.

On booking you receive two different URLs for the two sessions.

Saturday 16th May: The Monster Restaurant
Bizzarre monsters and a revolting menu... what terrible dinners can we create for our monster guests?  Which dinner will win 1st prize in the Revolting Restaurant awards??

Saturday 23rd May: Big Top Sabotage!
We're re-visiting the Circus with a special story! You can order your Samos Circus from me to make ahead of the date or make one of your own design on the day. (kits are £5 . Include this in your session donation when you book or you can pay separately) See tutorial below. 
We'll be creating some sneaky characters for our story who are intent on sabotaging Samos Circus...  will Clara the ringmaster catch them red handed?

Saturday 30th May: The Dragon in the Mountain
A fire breathing dragon needs to find the ancient golden crown... which one of us will have it?  Make a fire breathing beast for our Storytime this week.

Saturday 6th June: King Arthur and Merlin
Knights and daring deeds. Arthur may need to call on Merlin for some magical help.   Make  your own magical wizard and get ready to cast some spells...

Storytime normally happens at The Oval Tavern every Saturday apart from during the summer holidays when we take a break until the autumn. There are stories, puppets, games and arts and crafts.

 

We will often use props and characters the children make in the stories we tell. We have a different theme each week and lots of picture and board books. Please bring a story of your own to share if you like.
