Storytime at The Oval Tavern

Hello! 

I'm Jenny. I run Storytime. I've put this page in because I am asked quite a lot about what I do.

A little about me:

I have a degree in Theatre Practice and about 20 years of experience in working with children through my roles as play leader, teaching assistant and arts facilitator in schools, children's centres and play schemes. I love to play and sing, dance, tell stories, play guitar, make things and enjoy using puppets in my work too.

 

Apart from Storytime I run Music Time at the Oval Tavern in East Croydon every other Thursday for children aged 0-2yrs, lead drama and arts sessions for children and young people in schools across the South East, perform comedy and songs in all sorts of shows and events, and take on creative commissions including mural painting, creating animations with young people, song writing and audio plays...

In 2016 I was funded to write and perform a one woman stage play called, 'Amy Johnson : Last Flight Out'. This is one of the best things I have ever done. I've taken the show on a few small scale tours and am working towards a national tour with workshops.  You can find out more about my work here.
